Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson from London's Queen Mary University contribution to music is an honorary degree.

He graduated in 1979 before the date but said that "cover story" as used to play music.

He said: "That was what they [my parents] wanted to hear so that was my cover story. When I got down there, I started immediately finding and playing in bands."
