Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson reveal to perform at London's Sonisphere Festival
On sharing the stage with SLIPKNOT:
"Obviously we do what we do for two hours, and a lot of our stuff now is semi-theatrical and proggy. Whereas SLIPKNOT is theatrical but much more rrrraaaaahhhh!!!! The audience get a really good variation of stuff."
“We're the headliners so we are doing our usual set. We've got ourselves some new toys for it, so there's one or two spectacular monsters and things like that, but I think everybody brings their toys out for a festival! I mean, SLIPKNOT have got some fabulous kit. I'm very jealous of their flames and fire! We haven't gone with any pyro at all on this tour. I think the next time we go out we will. We like to alternate it every other year because if you get the reputation that you've got to go and see a band because of the pyro and then you don't do the pyro people think, 'Oh, I won't bother then.'"
On the places in the world IRON MAIDEN has yet to play:
"There's a few places we haven't got round to playing yet, like Thailand and everybody always says, You've got to play China,' but the trouble with that is they censor everything left, right and center and put you in some little club or something daft. It would be terrific to play some of the places in the Middle East that we haven't got around to playing yet because we've got a lot of metal fans over there. It's a big underground metal thing in Iran and Iraq and there's also The Lebanon and even Morocco, where we have a big following."
On the possibility of playing Iraq:
"Well, I'm sure some of the guys in the band would be like, 'I'm not wearing bullet proof vests on-stage!' One of the big organizers of the Egypt protests was actually texting our manager Rod and sent a picture of him in the square with a MAIDEN shirt on! We were looking at doing Egypt on this tour and it was just too dodgy. We sent our tour guy down to meet the promoter and look at his ideas but it was obvious the guy did not have a clue so we thought, 'Let's not do that.' . . [The biggest obstacle is] getting the infrastructure together and knowing that it's reasonably secure and that you won't have issues with crowd security and people getting hurt, because it could turn into a real mess. You've got to have that confidence that organizers are capable of controlling what might happen if you get 30,000 people suddenly turn up and there's a barrier made of tissue paper and it all collapses. Suddenly the troops start wading in with batons and you've got some horrendous mess on your hands. We want to try to make it as safe an environment for people to go nuts in as possible so everyone walks out alive as opposed to the old DOORS song!"

Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson says its doing only for his fans
Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson says that he doesn’t give a damn that his band has been years and dispels the myth that they show "excellent " for fans only turn up by the mainstream media has avoided mentioning.
Speaking to Argentinean website Vorterix.com he said that Maiden always think about than their fans have more care and Rolling Stone magazine's mascot Eddie on the cover of Argentina Edition case dismissed.
“Do I care? No! What’s bigger? More magazine covers or being bigger in the heart of your fans? To me it’s much more important that we stay close to our fans
“We got a Grammy this year – I think it’s ‘cos we’re still alive. If they were going to give us a Grammy they should have given us one about 1986, but they gave it to Jethro Tull, and it took another 20 years
“The mainstream media don’t understand metal. Unless you are a fan, unless you really understand the music, it’s difficult to give it the coverage it deserves
And Dickinson is proposed that the only reason fans want to hear songs on the show in Classic bristles. Through an interpreter when asked whether he found it frustrating, they positively baulked:
“Is it frustrating that the fans want the classics? I don’t know whether that’s true actually.
“The older fans maybe, but we’ve got young kids whose first experience of Maiden was ‘Brave New World.’
“Personally, I think it’s bullshit.
“Songs on Brave New World are classics now. When we play Blood Brothers or Dance of Death, the roar from the crowd is huge!
Argentina hornets nest when he interviews reactions can in Buenos Aries, Falklands war between the two countries an idea of waving the Union Jack is back about Dickinson said in the early 80's poked. Dickinson retorted:“We went through this 10 or 15 years ago. So what – I go out and wave an Argentinean flag? It’s about history – Argentina didn’t fight in the Crimean War
“We do Aces High in Germany and we’re shooting down German planes. It’s about history. We do a lot of songs about different periods of history.
“The issue [with the flag in Argentina] has gone away”

Metal legends Iron Maiden on their forthcoming South American tour, they plan in a few concert to film an coming DVD.Chile's Foreign Minister Futuro 88.9 Bassist Steve Harris said the band will film April 8, and 10 of them shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile, respectively, according to BraveWords.com.

We had already recorded there for the movie, Flight 666, but only one song per country. Now we’ll show the public much more of Chile and Argentina. Wherever we go, we always wondered what the best groups in the world were, and we thought South America, Chile, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Now we can show it.”
Clearly that part of the world means something special to the Maiden groups.
He said, “I always thought that if we could take the public with us, it would be to those countries. The rest of the fans in the world can see how they react to the Chileans and Argentines, and will have something to draw from.”
Harris said the new DVD to prepare those responsible are those who on the "Flight 666" are working.
He said, “I have always been involved in the production and direction of our live shows, but now working with a very good company, the guys who made the documentary Flight 666. It is they who are responsible for recording the shows, so for me at least, is a great relief.”

Iron Maiden song Fear of the Dark - Video N Lyrics

Iron Maiden song Fear of the Dark - lyrics
I am the man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have constant fear that something's
always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's
always there
Have you run your fingers down
the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light?
Sometimes when you're scared
to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that something's
watching you
Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no one's there?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure there's
someone there
Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense, and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have constant fear that something's
always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's
always there
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have constant fear that something's
always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's
always there
When I'm walking a dark road
I am the man who walks alone
